Everbright International received the Outstanding Environmental Protection Technologies Provider Award
China Everbright International Limited (or "the Group") received the Outstanding Environmental Protection Technologies Provider Award in The 2nd Capital Outstanding China Enterprise Awards. As China gains influence in the global economy, Chinese enterprises have become a new driving force of world trade. To recognize the contributions of Chinese enterprises to the economy of China and the world, CAPITAL Magazine held The 2nd Capital Outstanding China Enterprise Awards selection, following the success of the 1st Capital Outstanding China Enterprise Awards last year. The purpose of the awards is to acknowledge Chinese enterprises' excellent performance, and thereby encourage them to continue contributing to the stability and prosperity of China and the global economy.
The award presentation was held at Ritz Carlton Hong Kong on 21 May 2007 and was graced with the presence of Dr. Sarah Liao, Secretary for the Environment, Transport and Works Bureau of the Hong Kong SAR who delivered the opening speech.
Mr. Philip Fan, General Manager of China Everbright International, received the award on behalf of the Group. He said, "The award has acknowledged the hard work of the Group in the past year during which the Group's environmental protection business entered the harvest stage."
As a vast developing country, China has many pollution problems to solve. This translates into huge room for development of the environmental protection sector and abundant opportunities for the Group. The Group will follow diligently its principle of "integrity, pragmatism, high efficiency and innovation", and will continue its strategy of securing and developing more new projects in the more prosperous regions of the country.
