Everbright International Has Garnered China Green-Benefit Enterprise Award

China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or the "Group") (SEHK: 00257), is pleased to announce that it has become the first winner of China Green-Benefit Enterprise Individual Award in "The 2nd International Carbon-Value Awards" competition at the 5th (China) World Economic and Environmental Conference 2012 on 16 November, for demonstrating the greatest potential value for low carbon development.

The 5th (China) World Economic and Environmental Conference 2012, is co-organized by United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and International Energy Conservation Environmental Protection Association (IEEPA). "International Carbon-Value Award", under the guidance of UN system and international organizations, as well as the participation of domestic and international media, is a supreme honorable award, which aims to seek and award best players and practitioners of low-carbon concept. "China Green Benefit Enterprise" Individual Award, is evaluated based on investigation and analysis on enterprise candidates, which have obtained certain green benefit and have continuously promoting the social-economic and environmental development; select and award enterprises which put green mission and social responsibilities as priority, and have the potential or capacity to become social pilot enterprises in terms of "green benefit".
