Everbright International Signs Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement with Yibin City of Sichuan Province

To Extend Business into Central and Western China and
Meet the Group's Objective of Expanding from Coastal to Inland Areas

October 23 2013, Hong Kong - China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or the "Group") (HKSE: 00257) is pleased to announce that it has signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation framework agreement (the "Framework Agreement") with Yibin Municipal People's Government of Sichuan Province. The two parties will develop a long-term partnership regarding energy conservation and environmental protection to promote the economic, social and environmental development of Yibin City.

According to the Framework Agreement, Everbright International will actively participate in Yibin City's environmental protection plans, and help the city to achieve its energy conservation and emission reduction targets. As a preferred strategic partner of Yibin City, Everbright International plans to provide a series of integrated environmental protection services including household waste treatment, urban waste water treatment, food waste treatment, construction waste treatment, water resource conservation, soil remediation, photovoltaic energy generation, wind power generation, as well as environmental consultation and assessment based on a Contract Environmental Services Mode. The total investment amount of these projects, if fully implemented, is approximately RMB 2 billion.
