Everbright International Secures Jiangsu Xinyi Hazardous Solid Waste Treatment Project

28 April 2014, Hong Kong – China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or the "Group") (HKSE: 00257) is pleased to announce that it has signed an investment agreement with the Xinyi Municipal Government, Jiangsu Province ("Xinyi Government"), for the investment and construction of a hazardous solid waste treatment project in Xinyi City ("Xinyi Project" or the "Project").

With a total investment of RMB100 million, Xinyi Project will be designed to have an annual hazardous solid waste incineration processing capacity of 9,500 tonnes and will be constructed on a BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) basis. Leading domestic technology will be deployed for safe treatment of hazardous solid waste. The Project will also adhere to relevant national environmental protection standards and its gas emission will comply with the Euro 2000 standard. Upon completion, the Project will serve Tangdian Chemical Industrial Park in Xinyi Development Zone, Suhua Area, and the Central District as well as surrounding areas.
