Everbright Environmental Protection Technology Institute is Unveiled in Shenzhen

9 January 2015, Hong Kong – China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or the "Group")(HKSE: 00257) is pleased to announced that the Everbright Environmental Protection Technology Institute, a scientific research institution invested in and established by the Group, was officially unveiled in Shenzhen on 9 January 2015. Mr. Chen Xiaoping, CEO of Everbright International; Mr. Ren Guanping, Secretary General of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences（中國環境科學學會秘書長任官平）; Ms. Qiu Xuan, Deputy Director of Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Committee（深圳市科技創新委副主任邱宣）; and Mr. Shi Yuanchun, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering（中國工程院及中國科學院兩院院士石元春）, inaugurated the institute and expressed their warmest congratulations.

Everbright Environmental Protection Technology Institute consists of three subsidiary research institutes specializing in incineration technology, water environment technology and engineering design, as well as two research teams specializing in integrated environmental services and information and control technology. The Institute will conduct extensive and in-depth research on treatment technology of household waste, industrial hazardous waste, sludge and kitchen waste, control software technology, biomass utilization technology, synergetic treatment of urban and rural waste in small- and medium-sized cities, waste water treatment in urban cities and environment restoration technology etc. This adheres to the Group's development strategy of ‘From modern cities to rural areas, from coastal to inland areas, from domestic to overseas markets' in order to provide different users with tailor-made unit processing technology, a full portfolio of engineering technology and integrated solutions.
