Everbright International Secures Nanjing and Linyi Hazardous Waste Treatment Projects

7 July 2016, Hong Kong - China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or the "Group") (HKSE: 00257) is pleased to announce that it has secured the Nanjing Jiangnan Veinous Industrial Park Integrated Hazardous Waste Treatment Project ("Nanjing Hazardous Waste Treatment Project") and the Shandong Linyi Linshu Integrated Industrial Waste Treatment Project ("Linyi Hazardous Waste Treatment Project").

The Group signed an investment agreement for Nanjing Hazardous Waste Treatment Project with the management committee of the Nanjing Jiangnan Veinous Industrial Park on 20 June. Everbright International and Nanjing Dingye Investment Group Co., Ltd. will hold equity stakes of 70% and 30% respectively in the project, which will be located in the Nanjing Jiangnan Veinous Industrial Park of Jiangsu Province, adjoining Everbright International's Nanjing Waste-to-energy Project. To be constructed under the BOO (Build-Operate-Own) model in two phases, the project is designed to have a hazardous waste processing capacity of 80,000 tons per annum, mainly from Nanjing downtown areas as well as surrounding counties and cities. The total investment amount of Phase I of this project is approximately RMB370 million, with an incineration capacity of 20,000 tons per annum and a physical-chemical treatment capacity of 20,000 tons per annum. Its gas emissions will fully comply with the Euro 2010 Standard.

Linyi Hazardous Waste Treatment Project will be located in the Linshu Chemical Industrial Park of Linyi City, Shandong Province, adjoining Everbright International's Linshu Waste-to-energy Project. It will also be constructed under the BOO (Build-Operate-Own) model in two phases. The project is designed to have a hazardous waste processing capacity of 40,000 tons per annum. Phase I of the project has an incineration capacity of 20,000 tons per annum with a total investment amount of approximately RMB260 million. The gas emissions will fully comply with the Euro 2010 Standard.
