Everbright International Receives "Silver Class" Distinction from RobecoSAM

Another International Recognition for Its Sustainable Development Achievements

19 January 2017, Hong Kong – China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or the "Group") (HKSE: 00257) is pleased to announce that the Group has been awarded the Silver Class distinction in RobecoSAM's 2017 Sustainability Yearbook for its outstanding performance in and overall score for sustainable development. This is the first time that the Group has been included in RobecoSAM's Sustainability Yearbook, and it is also the first company from mainland China and Hong Kong in recent years to have received the RobecoSAM distinction in the Sustainability Yearbook. This recognition once again affirms Everbright International's excellent performance in terms of sustainable development, and also proves that the Group has become one of the best companies in the world for sustainable development capabilities.

The Sustainability Yearbook is published by RobecoSAM, a professional sustainable investment institution that aims to discover enterprises with outstanding sustainability development performance on economic, environmental and social aspects. The Sustainability Yearbook is renowned for being the most comprehensive and precise global publication on sustainable development, and according to RobecoSAM, in 2016, there were 466 eligible enterprises from 32 countries and regions included the 2017 Sustainability Yearbook. There are two mainland China enterprises and six Hong Kong enterprises included, among them was Everbright International, which was the only one to receive the RobecoSAM distinction recognition.
