Everbright International Signs Framework Agreement with China Aerospace Construction Group to Form Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation
19 January 2018, Hong Kong - China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or the "Group") (HKSE: 00257) is pleased to announce that it has signed a framework agreement with China Aerospace Construction Group Co. Ltd. ("China Aerospace Construction") in Beijing to form comprehensive strategic Cooperation, which will allow both sides to provide mutual support through their relative advantages and to cooperate for a win-win situation.The signing ceremony was witnessed by Mr. Wang Tianyi, CEO of Everbright International, and Mr. Li Zhiguo, General Manager of China Aerospace Construction. Mr. Hu Yanguo, Deputy General Manager of Everbright International, and Mr. Li Naihong, Deputy General Manager of China Aerospace Construction, signed the agreement on behalf of both sides respectively.
Everbright International is a flagship company in the industrial investment sector of China Everbright Group Ltd., a large centrally-administered state-owned enterprise in China. The Group is a leading player in the environmental protection industries in China and worldwide, and has a business presence in over 100 districts, counties and cities across 18 provinces and municipalities in China, as well as in Germany, Poland and Vietnam. Its main businesses cover waste-to-energy, water environment management, biomass integrated utilisation, hazardous waste treatment, solar energy, wind power, environmental protection engineering, technological research and development, environmental protection equipment manufacturing, and the planning and construction of environmental protection industrial parks.
China Aerospace Construction is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation Limited, also a large centrally-administered state-owned enterprise in China. China Aerospace Construction owns a number of Grade A qualification certificates in areas like engineering design, urban-rural planning, engineering investigation, and engineering consultancy, etc. It is also one of the only eight enterprises in China that have obtained an integrated Grade A qualification certificate in design and a Grade A qualification certificate in rural-urban planning.
Everbright International and China Aerospace Construction will cooperate on a wide range of areas including, but not limited to, energy conservation and environmental protection, water environment management and alternative energy, in domestic and overseas markets. Both parties will work together to explore the market of China, with a focus on nearly 20 provinces including Hunan, Henan, Shaanxi, Liaoning and Zhejiang, while paying close attention to, and grasping opportunities in, markets in Europe, South America, and South and North Asia, especially those along the Belt and Road route, to formulate strategies in international market.
