Everbright Greentech Secures Anhui Huaiyuan Hazardous Waste Landfill Project

13 February 2019, Hong Kong – China Everbright Greentech Limited ("Everbright Greentech" or the "Company") (HKSE: 01257) is pleased to announce that the Company has recently secured Anhui Huaiyuan Hazardous Waste Landfill Project ("Huaiyuan Project"), with an investment of approximately RMB174 million.

Huaiyuan Project has an annual designed landfill processing capacity of 40,000 tonnes for industrial solid waste, and also a designed storage capacity of 400,000 m³ (a storage capacity of 500,000 m³ will be reserved for phase II of the project). It will be invested in and constructed based on a BOO (Build-Operate-Own) model for a concession period of no less than 50 years. The project will be responsible for processing hazardous waste and industrial solid waste generated from industrial enterprises in Huaiyuan County.

Everbright Greentech and Huaiyuan County have developed a solid basis for cooperation, following the Company’s Huaiyuan Integrated Biomass and Waste-to-Energy Projects commenced operation and have been providing cost-efficient and effective solutions to the treatment of local household wastes in urban and rural areas. The securing of Huaiyuan Project will further facilitate Huaiyuan County to transform its existing model from a single environmental protection project to an environmental protection veinous industrial park. The Company will continue its efforts to provide integrated environmental protection solutions to the local communities, and to safeguard the Huaiyuan County in terms of assisting the county to become a place with beautiful, ecologically friendly environment and rich culture.
