Mr. Wang Tianyi, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Everbright Environment meets Mr. Sun Licheng, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Ji'nan Municipal Committee

On 18 January, Mr. Wang Tianyi, Chairman of the board of directors and CEO of China Everbright Environment Group Limited ("Everbright Environment" or the "Company"), met with Mr. Sun Licheng, Member of Standing Committee of CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Ji’nan Municipal Committee. Both parties had in-depth communication on further enhancement of friendly cooperative relations to promote mutual benefits and win-win results.



Mr. Wang Tianyi expressed his appreciation on Ji’nan’s long-term and consistent support to Everbright Environment. He said that after 17 years of development, Everbright Environment has become China's largest environmental enterprise and the world's largest waste-to-energy investment operator, ranking first in the list of China's top 50 environmental enterprises issued by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce for two consecutive years. The Company has been honored as "the Most Honored Company" in China by an authoritative international organisation for four consecutive years, as well as being shortlisted in the Top 10 Firms with Highest Corporate Governance Index Scores. Everbright Environment rides on the national development strategies, and proactively participates in the development projects related to the relevant national strategies. The Company is deeply engaged in the construction of the integrated water treatment facilities in the Xiongan New Area, and also leverages on multiple environmental protection projects to serve the national strategies, such as the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Integration Plan, strategies related to the ecological protection of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, as well as the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port. Mr. Wang Tianyi said that Everbright Environment started and grew its environmental protection business in Ji’nan. Over the years, the CPC Ji'nan Municipal Committee and Ji’nan Municipal People’s Government have provided strong support for the investment and development of Everbright Environment, and both sides share a longstanding pleasant relationship. Ji'nan is the city that Everbright Environment has invested most in China with the most comprehensive project categories. More than 30 projects have been implemented, covering various fields, with excellent construction and operation quality, contributing greatly to the ecological environment protection and economic development of Ji'nan. Currently, Ji'nan keeps good economic and social development momentum, with unlimited development prospects. Everbright Environment looks forward to further bolstering the foundation of cooperation with Ji'nan, to tap more opportunities for cooperation by continuously deepening the cooperative relationship.
