Everbright International Wins the Tender of Waste Water Treatment Project in Dezhou, Shandong Province

Further Expand Foot Print on Waste Water Treatment Business in Shandong Province

China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or "the Company") today announced that it has won the tender for the construction and operation of Ling County Waste Water Treatment Plant II in Dezhou City ("Ling County Waste Water Treatment Plant II").

Ling County Waste Water Treatment Plant II, on BOT basis, commands an investment of approximately RMB58,000,000 excluding land cost and will have a designed daily waste water treatment capacity of 30,000 tonnes. The project design is based on the Company's Jinan Xike Project (Jinan Waste Water Treatment Plant No. 4) applied with further improvement.

Everbright International is also negotiating with the local government of Ling County in Dezhou City to acquire the existing waste water treatment project by TOT basis in Ling County. The designed daily waste water treatment capacity of the project will be 30,000 tonnes.

Mr. Chen Xiaoping, Chief Executive Officer of Everbright International, said, "Dezhou is one of the key new areas for the Company to develop and invest in. It is also the fifth area in Shandong Province after Jinan, Zibo, Qingdao, Binzhou that the Company invested in. The successful bid of Ling County Waste Water Treatment Plant II will not only enlarge the revenue base of the Company but also lay down a solid foundation for expanding its environmental protection business in the Shandong Province."
