Everbright International Expands its Environmental Protection Business to Zhejiang Province

Signed a Cooperative Framework Agreement of Ningbo Municipality on Environmental Protection Projects

China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or "the Group"), is pleased to announce that on 1 December 2011, the Group signed a cooperative framework agreement with the Ningbo Municipal Government for investment in the construction of energy conservation, environmental protection, alternative energy and municipal infrastructure facilities. Everbright International is to invest HK$3-5 billion in projects within Ningbo (including its counties and districts) to improve the environmental development and energy structure of the city.

According to the framework agreement, Everbright International is to invest in, construct and operate new projects on a BOT or TOT basis within three to five years. Starting with the waste-to-energy and waste water treatment projects as pilot projects, the Group will then gradually expand the scope of cooperation to other environmental protection-related projects, including urban waste water treatment, urban water supply, reusable water, municipal waste-to-energy, sludge treatment, integrated treatment of construction waste and kitchen waste, construction and industrial energy conservation as well as alternative energy projects such as solar energy, wind power and biomass power generation projects.
