Mr. Chen Xiaoping, CEO of Everbright International, has been Honoured as the "Man of the Year in China's Green Industry"

First Time for Everbright International to be Recognized as a Leading Enterprise for the Environmental Protection Industry by the Central Government

China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or the "Group") is pleased to announce that Mr. Chen Xiaoping, Chief Executive Officer of Everbright International has been honoured as the "2010-2011 Man of the Year in China's Green Industry" on 12 June, 2012. The award is organized by eight Government departments and committees, most notably the China Ministry of Environmental Protection, and was presented at a ceremony in Beijing. Winning the award is an acknowledgement by the public and the judging panel honouring Mr. Chen's 8 years of dedication to developing the Group into a leading enterprise in China's environmental protection industry, and his achievements and contributions in facilitating the environmental protection business in China.

The annual award for "Man of the Year in China's Green Industry" is organised by eight government departments and committees including the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Environment Protection and Resources Conservation Committee of the National People's Congress of China and the Population, Resources and Environment Commission of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the Central Commission of Communist Youth League of China, the Ministry of Culture and the State Administration of Radio Film and Television, with the support of the United Nations Environment Programme. The event has been successfully organized for the fifth time since 2005. Many influential people in the environmental protection field have garnered this prestigious award and have boosted a greater dedication of society to the environmental protection. The award has become an important event for the promotion and education of environmental protection.

Mr. Pan Yue, Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, said at the ceremony, "Winners arising from the 'Man of the Year in China's Green Industry Award' during the previous years have demonstrated to society how they have supported environmental protection and have also inspired the public to engage in the environmental protection business."
