Everbright International Penetrates Another City in Guangdong Province
Secures Waste-to-energy Project in Boluo County

Actively Develops Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Market in Guangdong Province

China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or the "Group") is pleased to announce that it has secured a household waste-to-energy project in Boluo County of Guangdong Province today ("Boluo Project" or the "Project") as the bidder with the highest score. The Project marked another foot-print of the Group in expanding the market share in Guangdong Province following its Huidong Waste-to-energy Project. It also strengthens the Group's leading position in China's waste-to-energy industry. The total designed daily processing capacity of the Project is 1,050 tonnes. Phase I of the Project, with a daily waste processing capacity of 700 tonnes, commands a total investment of RMB 417 million. It is expected to generate electricity of 91,360,000 kWh annually.

Boluo County has been named as one of the top 100 counties among county-level economies across China for five consecutive years from 2007 to 2011. The County is ranked the top positions among all county-level economies in terms of economic and social development. The county has served in a strong exemplary role within Guangdong Province as well as nationwide. The Project is planned to become an innovative environmental protection demonstration base that features environmental education and culture, as well as eco-tourism. The Project will serve as a new tourist attraction in Boluo County that catches the attention from all-over the country.
