Everbright International Secures Hazardous Solid Waste Landfill Project in Guanyun County, Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province

Further Expands Jiangsu Market and Creates Synergies with Other Projects

China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or the "Group") has secured a hazardous solid waste landfill project in Guanyun County, Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province ("Lianyungang Project"or the "Project") commanding a total investment of RMB150 million. The Project further expands the Group's scale of operations within the environmental protection sector, and consolidates our leading position in the environmental business market.

Lianyungang Project is located in the coastal economic development zone of Guanyun County, Lianyungang in Jiangsu Province. It will be constructed and operated on a build, operate and transfer (BOT) basis, with a concession period of 25 years. The total designed capacity for this project is 500,000m3. Phase I of the Project is to have a designed total capacity of 300,000 m3, commanding an investment of approximately RMB109 million.

Mr. Chen Xiaoping, Chief Executive Officer of Everbright International, said, "The Lianyungang Project is the second hazardous solid waste landfill project of Everbright International in northern Jiangsu after the Suqian Project. This Project enables the Group to expand its scopes of business in northern Jiangsu and accumulate experience for operating environmental projects and preparing for the establishment of environmental protection industrial parks in the area. At the same time, the synergy between this newly added project and our other environmental protection projects in Suqian and Pizhou will enable us to achieve economies of scale.
