Xinyi Surface Water Project Completed Stage I Transfer

(Hong Kong, 3 February 2013) China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or the "Group") (HKSE:00257) is delighted to announce that Phase I of the Xinyi City Surface Water Project (the "Xinyi Surface Water Project" or the "Project"), acquired on a BT (Build-Transfer) mode, has recently completed its stage 1 transfer to the local government.

By strictly adhering to the philosophy of "First class quality, high standards, and outstanding efficiency," Everbright International constructed the Project by overcoming a number of technical difficulties, including, long-distance pipe ramming and pipe-laying. The Project has successfully satisfied all the requirements outlined in the contract on schedule and has obtained preliminary inspection approval.
