Everbright International's Jinan Licheng Waste Water Treatment Project Phase II Completes Construction and Commences Operation

Total Waste Water Treatment Fees of Project Phase I & II Increase by 32%

4 November 2013, Hong Kong – China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or the "Group") (HKSE: 00257) is pleased to announce that the construction of Jinan Licheng Waste Water Treatment Project (Plant 3) Phase II ("Licheng Phase II Project") was completed on 1 November and has commenced commercial operation. The total waste water treatment fees of Licheng Phase I & II increased by 32% on the same day that Phase II was completed and commenced operation.

Licheng Phase II Project was invested in and constructed on a BOT (Built-Operate-Transfer) basis with a total investment of RMB 195 million and a daily waste water treatment capacity of 100,000 m³. The combined daily waste water treatment capacity of Licheng Phase I & II is 200,000 m³. The total daily waste water treatment capacity of the four existing waste water treatment plants of Everbright International in Jinan City has now reached 730,000 m³, and the four plants have all complied with the Grade 1A national waste water discharge standard.
