Everbright International's Wujiang Waste-to-energy Project Obtains RMB20 Million Subsidy from NDRC

7 August 2015, Hong Kong - China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or the "Group") is pleased to announce that the Group's Wujiang Waste-to-energy Project ("Wujiang Project" or the "Project") has obtained a subsidy of RMB20 million under the scheme of the "2015 Central Budgetary Investment Plan", jointly organized by the National Development and Reform Commission ("NDRC"), the Ministry of Finance and other national ministries.

Wujiang Project is Everbright International's first project to be built from dismantling and recycling the materials of previous facilities, with a total investment of approximately RMB889 million and a designed daily waste processing capacity of 1,500 tonnes. Construction is well underway and the Project is expected to commence operation in 2017.

Mr. Chen Xiaoping, CEO of Everbright International, said, "After Changzhou Xinbei Waste-to-energy Project received a subsidy earlier this year, Wujiang Project also successfully obtained a subsidy from the same scheme. This demonstrates the government's support and recognition of the Group's efforts in undertaking its environmental and social responsibilities. By leveraging state-of-art technology and high quality construction, and regardless of the size or investment scale, the Group will build every project to the highest standard, adhere to safe operations and strict compliance to emission standards so as to set a benchmark in the industry and contribute to the sustainable development of society and the environment."
