Everbright International Obtains 5A Credit Rating in 2015 Credit Rating Assessment for Companies in the Environmental Sanitation Sector in Guangdong Province

13 November 2015, Hong Kong – China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or the "Group") (HKSE: 00257) is pleased to announce that its subsidiary Everbright Environmental Protection (China) Limited ("Everbright Environmental Protection") has obtained the highest 5A credit rating in the 2015 credit rating assessment of companies in the environmental sanitation sector in Guangdong Province, standing out among 43 participating companies.

The credit rating assessment is organized by the Guangdong Environmental Sanitation Association ("GDESA") under the supervision and guidance of the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Guangdong Province. The purpose of the assessment is to encourage honesty and creditworthiness in the market, and improve industry players' awareness of the importance of integrity. The assessment upholds the principles of "serving companies and the industry, of being non-profit-making, and of openness, fairness and justice" and reviews the credit ratings of participating companies based on five factors: management systems, operation capability, the ability to fulfill contracts, competitiveness and credit records. Everbright Environmental Protection gained an overall score of over 95 points in all categories, and was granted the highest 5A credit rating.
