Everbright Water Wins Hubei Suizhou High-tech Industrial Park Integrated Water Environment Restoration PPP Project

Singapore, 10 March 2017 – China Everbright Water Limited ("Everbright Water" or the "Company", SGX: U9E) (中国光大水务有限公司), an environmental protection company focusing on integrated environmental water services, is pleased to announce that a consortium led by the Company has won the bid for Hubei Suizhou High-tech Industrial Park Piaoshui and Fuhe River Basin Integrated Water Environment Restoration PPP ("Public-Private-Partnership") Project ("Suizhou High-tech Park PPP Project" or the "Project"), having secured the highest score in the overall bidding process.

Suizhou High-tech Park PPP Project will be invested, constructed, operated and maintained by a project company that is jointly established by the public and the private sectors. Everbright Water will take the lead on the private side with a 78.4% stake in the project company, while the government side will hold a 20% stake.

The Project will command a total investment of approximately RMB956 million. The major components of the Project's will include 1) the Fuhe Riverbanks Landscaping Project; 2) the Xihe County Waste Water Treatment Plant and Pipeline Network Project; and 3) the Piaoshui Park Phase I Construction Project.

The Fuhe Riverbanks Landscaping Project will involve landscaping and greening both banks of the Fuhe River for a period of 13 years, including a two-year construction period. The Xihe County Waste Water Treatment Plant and Pipeline Network Project will mainly focus on industrial waste water treatment, with phase I of the project designed to have a daily industrial waste water treatment capacity of 10,000m³. The pipeline network will be approximately 53 kilometers in length, and its water discharge will comply with standards not lower than the Chinese national Grade 1B standard according to the Discharge Standard of Pollutions for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant (GB 18918-2002). The Xihe County Waste Water Treatment Plant and Pipeline Network Project will last for a period of 25 years, including a one-year construction period. The Piaoshui Park Phase I Construction Project will mainly involve landscaping and water environment restoration for a period of 13 years, including a three-year construction period.

Suizhou City, located in the north of Hubei Province, is a well-known cultural and historical city in China. In 2016, it was included in the third batch of China's new-style urbanization pilot regions. In recent years, the Suizhou Municipal Government has been spending a lot effort in building up an eco-friendly development framework. The Suizhou High-tech Park PPP Project was shortlisted as one of the key ecological programs for the city.
