Everbright International's First Dual-entrusted Waste-to-energy Project Completes Construction and Commences Operation
5 July 2017, Hong Kong - China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or the "Group") (HKSE: 00257) is pleased to announce that its Dongguan Machong Waste-to-energy Project ("Dongguan Machong Project" or the "Project"), the Group's first "dual-entrusted" (entrusted construction and entrusted operation) project, has successfully passed its "72+24" hours trial run recently. The Group also finished the handover process related to project operation with the investor side on 30 June, which indicates the Project officially completed construction and commenced operation.Dongguan Machong Project has a total designed daily household waste processing capacity of 1,500 tonnes, and its gas emissions fully comply with the Euro 2010 Standard. The Project, which was constructed for about 18 months, is equipped with three self-developed 500 tonnes/day mechanic grate furnaces and two 18MW turbine power generators with auxiliary equipment. It is expected to generate approximately 160,000,000 kWh of green electricity annually.
