Everbright Water Secures Two Waste Water Treatment Upgrading Projects in Shandong Province

Singapore, 17 August 2017 –China Everbright Water Limited ("Everbright Water" or the "Company", SGX: U9E) (中国光大水务有限公司), an environmental protection company focusing on water environment management, is pleased to announce that the Company has secured Binzhou Development Zone Waste Water Treatment Project Phase I Upgrading ("Binzhou Development Zone Upgrading Project") and Ju County Chengbei Waste Water Treatment Project Upgrading ("Ju County Chengbei Upgrading Project") in Shandong Province, which will involve a total investment of approximately RMB41 million.

Binzhou Development Zone Upgrading Project will command a total investment of approximately RMB27 million. Upon completion of the upgrading works, the treated water from the project will comply with the national Grade 1A standard according to the Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant (GB18918-2002).

Ju County Chengbei Upgrading Project will command a total investment of approximately RMB14 million. Upon completion of the upgrading works, the chemical oxygen demand (COD) of the treated water will not be more than 40mg/litre, and other discharge indicators will strictly comply with the national Grade 1A standard according to the Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant (GB18918-2002).

Out of the Company's projects which are currently under operation, construction and in the preparatory stage, approximately 90% (including the two newly-secured projects), in terms of the treatment capacity, comply with the national Grade 1A discharge standard or above. Moving forward, the Company will, in line with the country's regulatory requirements as well as growing demands for urban development, continue to push forward the progress of our current upgrading works, and to improve water environment quality in the urban areas."
