Everbright International Acts on its Corporate Social Responsibility by Supporting Children's Sports Education in Schönewalde of Germany

16 November 2017, Hong Kong – China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or the "Group") (HKSE: 00257) is pleased to announce that the Group's German Ground Solar Energy Project ("German Project" or the "Project") in Schönewalde of Eastern Germany, has been operating smoothly for six years. German Project delivers excellent solar energy efficiency, and offers long-term steady support for the local energy supply. Aside from ensuring stable operation of the Project, Everbright International also endeavors to give back to society by supporting the planning and construction of sports facilities for children in Schönewalde to push forward children's health education.

Schönewalde is a picturesque city where the local government, while pushing forward the development of various industries, pays close attention to improving living conditions of the local residents, such as enriching the city's public spaces, enhancing the ecological and social environment. In response to the local demands, Everbright International has helped to construct three sports facilities for children that will support their health development. So far, two of these three facilities have been completed and opened to the public. The local government and residents have expressed their gratitude to the Group for its efforts and contribution towards children's health development in the local communities.
