Everbright International Wins Xi'an Lantian Waste Electricity and Heat Cogeneration PPP Project in Shaanxi Province

25 January 2018, Hong Kong - China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or the "Group") (HKSE: 00257) is pleased to announce that the Group has won the bid for Xi'an Lantian Household Waste Electricity and Heat Cogeneration PPP (Public-Private Partnership) Project ("Xi'an Lantian Project") in Shaanxi Province, with a leading score in the overall bidding process. The project is estimated to command a total investment of approximately RMB1.08 billion.

With a concession period of 30 years (construction period inclusive), Xi'an Lantian Project has a designed daily household waste processing capacity of 2,250 tonnes. The project will be equipped with three 750 tonnes/day mechanical grate furnaces and two sets of 25MW turbine power generators. The water produced from the leachate treatment will comply with water quality standards allowing the utilisation of reused water in open-type recirculating cooling water systems, realising the "full reuse and nil discharge" of leachate. The project is expected to generate approximately 250 million kWh of green electricity annually, with its gas emissions fully complying with the Euro 2010 Standard.
