Everbright International Receives Distinction from RobecoSAM Again

1 February 2018, Hong Kong - China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or the "Group") (HKSE: 00257) is pleased to announce that the Group has been awarded a distinction from RobecoSAM, a renowned investment institution, for the second consecutive year, given its outstanding performance in and overall score for sustainable development.

RobecoSAM launched its 2018 Sustainability Yearbook today to recognise enterprises with remarkable sustainable development performance over the past year, and Everbright International has received RobecoSAM Bronze Class Distinction. This is the second time that the Group has been included in the yearbook. It is also the first enterprise from mainland China and Hong Kong in recent years to have received the RobecoSAM Distinction. This year, there were two enterprises and six enterprises from mainland China and Hong Kong respectively shortlisted in the yearbook, including Everbright International as the only one that has received the distinction.

The Sustainability Yearbook is published every year by RobecoSAM, a professional sustainable investment institution that aims to identify enterprises with excellent performance in sustainability on economic, environmental and social aspects. The yearbook is well recognised for being the most comprehensive and precise global publication on sustainable development. According to RobecoSAM, in 2017, there were 478 eligible enterprises from 34 countries and regions included in the 2018 Sustainability Yearbook.
