Everbright International's Multiple Environmental Protection Projects Commence Construction in Succession
2 October 2018, Hong Kong – China Everbright International Limited ("Everbright International" or the "Group") (SEHK: 00257), is pleased to announce that the Group has recently seen multiple projects commence construction in succession, including Shandong Zoucheng Waste-to-energy Project Phase II ("Zoucheng Project Phase II"), Guangdong Zhaoqing Waste-to-energy Project ("Zhaoqing Project"), Shaanxi Xi’an Lantian Waste-to-energy Project ("Lantian Project"), Hunan Miluo Waste-to-energy Project ("Miluo Project") and Jiangsu Wujiang Food Waste Treatment Project ("Wujiang Food Waste Project"). These projects command a total investment of approximately RMB2.756 billion, with a total designed daily household waste processing capacity of 4,450 tonnes.
Zoucheng Project Phase II, which commands an investment of approximately RMB175 million, has a designed daily household waste processing capacity of 300 tonnes and is expected to generate green electricity of approximately 32.35 million kWh annually. The project commenced construction on 25 September 2018, and is estimated to complete construction and commence operation in the second half of 2019.
Zhaoqing Project, which commands an investment of approximately RMB980 million, has a designed daily household waste processing capacity of 1,500 tonnes and is expected to generate green electricity of approximately 180 million kWh annually. The project commenced construction on 29 September 2018, and is estimated to complete construction and commence operation in the first half of 2020.
Lantian Project, which commands an investment of approximately RMB1.09 billion, has a designed daily household waste processing capacity of 2,250 tonnes and is expected to generate green electricity of approximately 250 million kWh annually. The project commenced construction on 30 September 2018, and is estimated to complete construction and commence operation in the first half of 2020.
Miluo Project, which commands an investment of approximately RMB370 million, has a designed daily household waste processing capacity of 500 tonnes, and is expected to generate green electricity of approximately 54.75 million kWh annually. The project commenced construction on 30 September 2018, and is estimated to complete construction and commence operation by the end of 2019.
Wujiang Food Waste Project commands an investment of approximately RMB141 million and has a designed daily food waste processing capacity of 200 tonnes. The project commenced construction on 29 September 2018, and is estimated to complete construction and commence operation in mid-2019.
