Everbright Greentech Secures Anhui Yeji Biomass Electricity and Heat Cogeneration Project Phase II and Jiangsu Suqian General Industrial Solid Waste Electricity and Heat Cogeneration Project
10 April 2019, Hong Kong – China Everbright Greentech Limited ("Everbright Greentech" or the "Company") (HKSE: 01257) is pleased to announce that the Company has recently secured Anhui Yeji Biomass Electricity and Heat Cogeneration Project ("Yeji Project") Phase II and Jiangsu Suqian General Industrial Solid Waste Electricity and Heat Cogeneration Project ("Suqian Project"), with a total investment of approximately RMB649 million.
Yeji Project Phase II commands an investment of approximately RMB186 million, with a designed annual agricultural and forestry waste processing capacity of 120,000 tonnes and the capability of supplying approximately 600,000 tonnes of steam per year. Yeji Project Phase I and II are expected to provide approximately 230 million kWh of green electricity in total annually. Yeji Project Phase II will be invested in and constructed based on a BOO (Build-Operate-Own) model for an operation period of 30 years. Following the completion of construction works, Yeji Project Phase II will share some of the public facilities with Yeji Project Phase I, which is currently in operation. By forming the synergy effects, Yeji Project will strongly support the provision of providing better service to the local key industries.
Suqian Project commands an investment of approximately RMB463 million. The project is designed to incinerate 600 tonnes of general industrial solid waste per day. It will be invested in and constructed based on a BOO model, with an operation period of no less than 30 years.
As Everbright Greentech’s first general industrial solid waste incineration project, Suqian Project marks a breakthrough of the Company in the hazardous and solid waste disposal segment. Following the completion of construction work, Suqian Project will form synergy effects with Suqian Biomass Heat Supply Project of the Company, and both projects are expected to provide more than 100 tonnes of heat in total per hour. This would well fulfill the demands for heat from enterprises in the Sucheng Development Zone of Suqian City, further improve the city’s infrastructure, and strongly support Suqian to become a green and eco-friendly city.
