Everbright Water Secures Shandong Ju County Chengbei Waste Water Treatment Plant Expansion Project Phase I

Singapore, 25 April 2019 – China Everbright Water Limited ("Everbright Water" or the "Company", SGX: U9E) (中国光大水务有限公司), an environmental protection company focusing on water environment management, is pleased to announce that the Company recently secured Shandong Ju County Chengbei Waste Water Treatment Plant Expansion Project ("Ju County Chengbei Expansion Project") Phase I, with an investment of approximately RMB105 million.

Ju County Chengbei Expansion Project has a total daily designed waste water treatment capacity of 40,000 m³, and will be constructed in two phases based on the PPP (public-private partnership) model. Phase I of the project has a daily designed waste water treatment capacity of 20,000 m³, with COD and NH3-N levels of the discharged water no higher than 30mg/L and 1.5mg/L respectively. In addition, the other indicators of the discharged water will comply with the national Grade 1A standard according to the Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant (GB18918-2002) ("National Grade 1A standard").

Everbright Water has successively secured multiple waste water treatment projects in Ju County since 2015. These projects treat more than 60,000 m³ of municipal and industrial waste water for the county on a daily basis. The securing of Ju County Chengbei Expansion Project Phase I will further enhance the Company’s overall waste water treatment capacity in the county, and also enable the Company to provide better waste water treatment services to the Economic Development Zone of Ju County (莒县经济开发区).

Separately, Everbright Water signed an engineering, procurement and construction agreement with People’s Government of Wendeng District, Weihai City, Shandong Province, with a contract value of approximately RMB106 million. Pursuant to the said agreement, the Company will be responsible for the construction of a waste water treatment plant and its ancillary pipeline network in the Chemical Industrial Park of Wendeng District in Weihai City (威海文登区化工产业园). The scope of construction work includes the construction of a waste water plant with a designed daily waste water treatment capacity of 10,000 m³ in the park, with COD and NH3-N levels of the discharged water no higher than 30mg/L and 1.5mg/L respectively. The other indicators of the discharged water shall also comply with the National Grade 1A standard. The Company is also responsible for the construction of the plant’s ancillary pipeline network, with a total length of approximately 10 km, and waste water lift pump stations.
