Everbright Water Secures Shandong Ji'nan East Station Area Underground Waste Water Treatment Project
Singapore, 30 April 2019 – China Everbright Water Limited ("Everbright Water" or the "Company", SGX: U9E) (中国光大水务有限公司), an environmental protection company focusing on water environment management, is pleased to announce that the Company entered into an agreement today with Urban-Rural Water Bureau of Ji'nan City, Shandong Province, and secured Shandong Ji'nan East Station Area Underground Waste Water Treatment Project ("Ji'nan East Station Project" or the "Project"), with an investment of approximately RMB560 million.
Ji'nan East Station Project will be invested in, constructed and operated based on a BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) model, with a designed daily waste water treatment capacity of 100,000 m3 for a concession period of 30 years (inclusive of construction period). The Project will be constructed as an underground plant, mainly responsible for treating waste water from the Ji'nan East Station area. It will adopt the pre-treatment + AAO + MBR as the main treatment process. Major indicators of the discharge water from the Project will comply with standards similar to the Environmental Quality Standards for Surface Water (GB3838-2002) for Category IV, while the rest will comply with the national Grade 1A standard according to the Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant (GB18918-2002).
Ji'nan City and Shandong Province are key strategic markets of Everbright Water. The Company has invested in more than 50 water projects in the province, with a total daily water treatment capacity exceeding 2.5 million m3. Ji'nan East Station Project will be one of the major infrastructures that facilitate the urban spatial development and ecological and environmental protection in the Ji'nan East Station area and the eastern area of the city. Securing of the Project will further solidify Everbright Water's leading position in the environmental protection market of Ji'nan City and Shandong Province.
