Everbright Environment Appointed Mr. Wang Silian as Chairman of the Board

27 September 2024, Hong Kong－The board (the “Board”) of directors (the “Directors”) of China Everbright Environment Group Limited (“Everbright Environment” or the “Company”) (SEHK: 257) today announced the appointment of Mr. Wang Silian as the Executive Director and Chairman of the Board, the chairman of the Nomination Committee and a member of the Remuneration Committee of the Company. Mr. Huang Haiqing resigned as the Executive Director and Chairman of the Board, the chairman of the Nomination Committee and a member of the Remuneration Committee of the Company. At the same time, Mr. Wang was also appointed in place of Mr. Huang as the non-executive director and chairman of the board of directors, and chairman of the nomination committee of China Everbright Greentech Limited (SEHK: 1257), a listed subsidiary of the Company. The above-mentioned appointments took effect from 27 September 2024.

Prior to joining Everbright Environment, Mr. Wang was the vice chairman and president of China CYTS Tours Holding Co., Ltd. (the shares of which are listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange) and the chairman of Bravolinks Integrated Marketing Co., Ltd. (the shares of which are listed on the National Equities Exchange and Quotations in China), both of which are connected persons of the Company. He was also the deputy general manager of the human resources department of China Everbright Bank Company Limited (the shares of which are listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and the Shanghai Stock Exchange), a subsidiary of China Everbright Group Ltd., which is an indirect controlling shareholder of the Company. Mr. Wang holds a master degree in military science from the Dalian Naval Academy of the People’s Liberation Army Navy.
